Mug Hug is a reusable, flexible lid designed to fit medium sized mugs and larger sized paper cups. We had two purposes in mind when creating this product. First, to prevent spilling for mugs on the go for convenience. Second, to reduce the use of disposable paper cups & plastic lids that are filling up landfills around the globe. Mug Hug is ideal for the office, commute, and for the home. Not only does it prevent spilling, but it keeps your drink warmer too!

1. How will I know if Mug Hug will fit on my mugs?
Mug Hug fits on many mugs at most Canadian & US big box retailers and marts. The simplest way to find out is to bring your Mug Hug to a retailer and try it out. Even easier, check the mugs in your cabinet, because chances are it will fit several of the mugs you already own. Also, we know it fits paper cups from Starbucks and McDonald`s. Finally, if you can't find a mug that fits, send us an email and we'll give you many recommendations for the retailer closest to you.
2. Does Mug Hug really seal against a ceramic mug?
Yes, and very well for many mugs. The flexible nature of the rubber allows easy stretching over the mug to create a tension fit to seal. We created a video to demonstrate the sealing ability for a couple mugs that are a good fit with Mug Hug. This video was conducted with cold water to show the limits of Mug Hug. Never do this at home especially with harmful, hot liquids.
3. What can I do to remove coffee stains from my white Mug Hug?
Yes, coffee can stain white lids (mostly the underside) similar to how coffee stains teeth. Although boiling the lid with water and lemon juice for about 10-15 minutes has been suggested, we have found the most effective way is to use toothpaste and a toothbrush! We recommend letting the stained portion soak with toothpaste overnight and then clean the stain with a motorized electric toothbrush. Rinse and dry... Alternatively, our brown lids might be a better match for coffee drinkers.
